Bikepacking - Brockman Creek to Ririe, Idaho

Bear Creek is part of the Great Western Trail
As we dropped into the headwaters of the South Fork of Bear Creek from the top of Brockman Creek, the trail had a lot of downed trees.
After the downed trees, the trail follows along side the heavily willowed creek bank for a few miles.
It appears not many people use this trail!
More faint trail along the South Fork of Bear Creek.
We camped along Bear Creek where a side trail takes you to the hot springs.
The fly fishing was great in the evening.
Pretty flowers everywhere!
If you want to ride or hike the Bear Creek Trail, plan on a lot of creek crossings! The cold water was a nice relief from the hot July sun.
From Bear Creek we peddled along Palisades Reservoir to the Dam and then continued down the South Fork of the Snake River to Swan Valley where we stopped for burgers and shakes.... and a much needed break!
After dinner we started up Pine Creek Pass to reach the start of the South Fork of the Snake River Trail.
The South Fork Trail offers spectacular riding and scenery. We camped in Gomer Canyon and continued our journey home to Ririe the next day.
